Arivaca Road-Patagonia-Sonoita Drive-out

We had a record twenty-five OPMC Miatas turn out for this event, and eleven of them were from the very rapidly growing Miata population in Green Valley.  Richard and Susan Olsen led this drive-out, which included:

• Tucson OPMC group met Green Valley OPMC contingent at 10 AM at the I-19 Canoa Rest Area south of Green Valley.

• Drove I-19 south to Arivaca Junction and then on wonderfully curvy Arivaca Road to the funky Gadsden Coffee Co. in Arivaca where we all visited outside over a good cup of coffee.

• Back tracked to Arivaca Junction on Arivaca Road for a sit-down lunch at the Cow Palace Restaurant.

• Drove on to Patagonia via I-19 south to the Ruby Road exit in Rio Rico and then paved South River Road that by-passes Nogales and connects to AZ 82; then AZ 82 on to Patagonia.

• Stopped in Patagonia for an ice cream dessert and wandered through some  interesting local shops.

• Continued on scenic AZ 82 to Sonoita, and then on scenic AZ 83 back North  toward Tucson.
