Santa Cruz Valley Car Nuts - Annual Car Show
2007 13th Annual Collector Car Show At Tubac, Arizona |
|
The Santa Cruz Valley Car Nuts will hold their 2007 13th Annual Collector Car Show at the Tubac Golf Resort, near Tubac, AZ on Saturday, January 20th. Over 500 antique and collector vehicles of all types and vintages will be displayed and judged for awards between the hours of 10 AM and 3 PM. Attendees are free to roam the car display area during this period, view the cars up close, and talk with the owners who are usually present and always interested in discussing their vehicles. This is one of the very best car shows in the region, and if you have not previously attended, I strongly urge you to consider attending the 2007 version. You will see some of the best collector cars in the southwest at this event. Susan and I plan on attending this event as we have all of the Santa Cruz Valley Car Nuts car shows for the past five years. While it's likely too late to enter this year, perhaps we can entice some OPMC folks to display their cars here next year -- one example of each of the three generations of Miata would be nice. Food and liquid refreshments will be available on the grounds. Spectator cost this year is $2 per person and advance ticket purchase is not required. Because of the large number of attendees, the parking area will be a few hundred yards from the car display area, so plan on a moderate walk from the parking area to the display area at the Golf Resort. To get to the car show I would suggest exiting I-19 at the Tubac exit (it's exit 34), turn left at the first stop sign, go east under I-19 to the next stop sign at the east side frontage road, turn left onto the frontage road and drive north on the frontage road until you see signage for "car show parking" -- it will likely be past the main entrance to the town of Tubac. The OPMC is not promoting this as an organized club activity, so you will be on your own for this event. Richard Olsen OPMC |
